Design and calculation | Load-bearing capacity with radial load

Checking the load capacity

After calculating P10, comparison with the specific load rating C10 (table Specific load rating C10 and suspension R10) will show whether the rotary stroke bearing is dimensioned correctly.

Requirement: P10 ≤ C10

The deflection A is calculated as specified in the section Radial load as pure moment.

Example calculation

Required:
Load of the most heavily loaded ball zone

Given:
Uniform radial force
PR = 1000 N
l = 300 mm
Contact path e = 200 mm
Distance between the ball zones Ii = 100 mm

Solution:
P10 = g · M + h · PR
M = PR · I

M = 1000 N · 0.3 m = 300 Nm
g = 2 m-1 (in the diagram contact path e / torque factor g)
h = 0.11 (in the diagram contact path e / radial force factor h)
P10 = 2 m-1 · 300 Nm + 0.11 · 1000 N
P10 = 710 N
